Happy Thanksgiving! :: Making Memories

I love the historical significance of the Thanksgiving holiday – the pilgrims praising God that they had lived through the fierce winter and the fierce Indians. I love also the significance Thanksgiving has today, for us – a time time praise the Lord for all of the many blessings He has given us and our family and friends throughout the previous year. Thanksgiving is a time to come together, under God, with family and friends and taste and see that the Lord is good (Psalm 34:8, ESV) – with wonderful food and memory making experiences.
One of the memories I want to make this year with my family and friends is the giving of cans to Mission Raleigh. Mission Raleigh is a Christ-centered, God-glorifying ministry that seeks to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of the people of urban Raleigh. This organization has impacted the inner cities of both Raleigh and Durham. Now, I want to gather together my family and friends to give back to this organization that has given so much to Raleigh.

Please join my family and friends as we collect cans to give to Mission Raleigh for the Thanksgiving holiday. Rummage through your pantry and save the extra cans in a paper bag. Purchase cans of food during your weekly grocery shopping time and reserve the cans to give to Mission Raleigh.
Contact me by posting a comment on this blog and I will collect the cans or have you bring them to me. You can also simply drop the cans off at the Mission Raleigh office. It is located on 3101 Stoneybrook Drive, 27604.
Family and friends, let’s join together and thank the Lord for His abundant provision by loving the community of Raleigh through collecting cans for Thanksgiving. These are the memories that will last a lifetime.
Thanks Rachel the needs are great this year. We do appreciate your help.
